This privacy notice explains what personal information HealthWatchlist may receive, why it is used and the choices available to visitors and people who contact the site.

Information received when you visit
Like most websites, the hosting service may record technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, browser and device information, the requested page, date and time, referring page and server response. These logs are used for security, fault diagnosis, traffic management and protection against abuse.
HealthWatchlist does not currently offer public user accounts or comments. There is no on-site contact form or newsletter sign-up in the Evidence Core foundation.
Analytics and cookies
A cookie is a small file or browser entry used by a website to remember information. The Information Commissioner’s Office explains the common purposes of cookies.
The site may use essential cookies for security and administration. Optional measurement tools may collect aggregated information about visits, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type and referral source. Lawful reasons for use

Consent is used where it is the appropriate basis, including for non-essential cookies where required. A legal obligation may also require information to be retained or disclosed.
Who may receive information?

It may also be disclosed where required by law, to establish or defend legal rights, or to investigate misuse. HealthWatchlist does not sell a visitor’s personal information.
Articles link to external research, regulators, retailers and other websites. Following an external link allows that organisation to receive information under its own privacy practices. HealthWatchlist does not control those sites.
Retention and security
Technical logs and correspondence are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which they were received, including security, editorial accountability, business records and legal requirements. Retention can differ according to the type of record and whether an issue remains open.
Reasonable organisational and technical measures are used to protect information, but no internet service can promise absolute security.
Your rights
UK data protection rights can include access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability. The rights that apply depend on the information and the lawful basis used. The ICO gives an overview of these rights.
To make a request, email contact@pingmedia.net. Enough information may be needed to identify the relevant record and confirm that it belongs to the requester.
If a concern is not resolved, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
