HealthWatchlist publishes general editorial information about essential oils, consumer products and research. It does not provide personal medical advice, diagnosis, treatment or emergency services.

Medical information
Articles explain published evidence for general readers. They cannot take account of your symptoms, diagnosis, age, pregnancy, medicines, allergies, medical history or other individual circumstances.
Do not use HealthWatchlist to delay or replace advice from a GP, pharmacist, dentist, dermatologist, veterinarian or another suitably qualified professional.
An evidence score describes my assessment of research for one defined claim. It is not a prescription, recommendation, guarantee of benefit or statement that a product is safe for you.
Research changes. Product formulas, labels and regulations can also change. Check current professional advice and the instructions supplied with the exact product.
Emergencies and poisoning
Call 999 in the UK if someone has severe breathing difficulty, collapses, has a seizure or cannot be awakened. Elsewhere, use the local emergency number.
For a suspected poisoning, ingestion or serious exposure, seek prompt professional advice. Do not induce vomiting or rely on a website recipe.
The NHS provides general poisoning guidance. A healthcare or poison professional needs the product name, ingredients, amount, route and timing.
Essential-oil safety
Essential oils are concentrated substances. Natural origin does not make them harmless.
Swallowing, neat skin application, eye exposure and prolonged diffusion can cause harm. Children and animals may be affected by smaller amounts than adults.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, epilepsy, asthma, fragrance sensitivity and medicines can change what is appropriate. Seek qualified advice about the exact product and route.
Read the separate essential-oil safety guide before using a product.
Product and supplier reviews
Unless an article says otherwise, HealthWatchlist reviews public information and has not bought, sampled or laboratory-tested the product.
A supplier review reflects the pages, reports and policies available on the stated review date. It cannot verify every batch or predict future service.
Prices, stock, warranties, ingredients and delivery terms may change. Check the seller’s current information before buying.
References to a company, product or external website do not amount to endorsement. A link allows the reader to inspect the underlying information.
Independence and commercial relationships
HealthWatchlist is independently published by Ping Media Group Ltd. Manufacturers and sellers do not set its evidence scores or editorial conclusions.
If HealthWatchlist receives a product, payment, sponsorship or affiliate commission connected with an article, that relationship will be disclosed clearly on the relevant page.
No current evidence verdict should be interpreted as advertising merely because an external product or supplier is named.
External links
HealthWatchlist links to journals, databases, public bodies, charities, manufacturers and retailers. External pages are controlled by their owners and may be moved, changed or removed.
A link indicates the source being discussed. It does not mean that HealthWatchlist accepts every statement, service, privacy practice or later change on that website.
Accuracy and corrections
I aim to represent sources accurately and distinguish human evidence from laboratory, animal and traditional-use material. Honest mistakes can still occur.
If you identify a material error, missing conflict or broken source, email contact@pingmedia.net. Please include the article, passage and supporting source.
Material corrections will be made as soon as they can be checked. The relevant assessment date will be updated when evidence is substantively reviewed.
